Food brands that fight climate change are ascendent!

With this newsletter we will celebrate food brands that have carbon negative footprints.

How do foods have carbon negative footprints?  With supply chains based on regenerative agricultural practices.

When we encounter carbon negative foods, the consumption of such products is a lever to reverse climate change.

We are together building an interactive community of people creating and supporting carbon negative foods.  Let’s use this community to learn about the entrepreneurs, the startups, the retailers and the strategics that are bringing carbon negative foods to market.

In particular let’s create a platform to celebrate the entrepreneurs behind this movement.

I need to hear from you!  Share your feedback and ideas in the comments of the newsletter episodes.  Let me know about carbon negative foods (or foods on a path toward carbon negative).  Let me know when you think I’m wrong.  Send me your ideas for stories.  Send in your questions.  Most important, help celebrate the entrepreneurs behind the movement.

By way of background, I’m the Founder & President of BrightFarms. I’m also a board member of United Fresh Produce Association. And, I’m the Chairman of (a) the USDA Fruit & Vegetable Industry Advisory Committee and (b) the Controlled Environment Agriculture Food Safety Coalition. I’m passionate about eating food that helps people be healthier and thrive, and that improves the environmental footprint of the food supply chain. I live just north of New York City, I’m raising three terrific kids and I’m trying to get outside as much as possible.
